Sock Out Cancer Day At The DICK’s Sporting Goods Open

The DICK'S Sporting Goods Open designated Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, as Sock Out Cancer Awareness Day. Utilizing the strength of the PGA TOUR Champions, Sock Out Cancer® will further the awareness of its mission to raise public awareness of the financial challenges cancer brings to afflicted patients and their families and to provide financially distressed cancer patients assistance for non-medical necessities so patients can focus their energy on fighting cancer.

 The DICK’S Sporting Goods Open takes place at En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott, NY, Aug. 15 – Aug. 21, 2022. The Golf Channel will broadcast the tournament from Aug. 19 – Aug. 21, 2022.

 “The DICK’S Sporting Goods Open is all about utilizing the power of sports to drive meaningful change in our community,” said Security Mutual Life Chairman Bruce W. Boyea “We are incredibly grateful to the tournament for designating Aug. 19 as Sock Out Cancer Awareness Day and helping spread the word how Sock Out Cancer helps cancer patients.”

 Players and spectators are encouraged to wear Sock Out Cancer socks. Socks can be purchased online or at the tournament. The Sock Out Cancer tent will be located between the 1st and 10th tees at the entryway to the course.
